...Xgames 14e!

Chiropractic care is common for many people, but for extreme sports athletes, it is a necessity.

This year, the 2008 X-Games were held at the Staples Center and at the Home Depot Center. If you have ever watched videos of the Moto X, Skate, or BMX events, it is quite obvious the amount of danger and physical stress that the athletes have to endure on a day to day basis.

Prior to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Pujayana worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer and also as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His background in sports-medicine was one of the reasons why he was chosen to assist with care at the X-Games.

Doctor Pujayana was invited as an on-site Chiropractic Doctor at this year's X-Games event, and had the responsibility of caring for any athlete or staff needing body work.

This was the first year that X-Games had offered such services, and it was a privillege for us to represent our profession in such a prominent venue.

"I enjoyed meeting with so many other professional Athletic Trainers from around the country. Working on the sidelines of such a dangerous sport reminds me of the many times I've worked as an Athletic Trainer for combat sports where I'm just waiting for something dramatic to happen."
